Welcome to Our Family

"Be mindful, O Lord our God, of your servant Christopher and your handmaid Heather and bless them. Grant them the fruit of the womb, healthy children, harmony of soul and body. Exalt them as Cedars of Lebanon and protect them as a fruitful vine. Grant them the seed of offspring and provide them with sufficient goods, so that they may abound in every deed that is good and acceptable to you. Let them see their children’s children like olive branches around their table. And after they have pleased you, may you illuminate them as the stars of heaven." - Melkite Catholic Liturgy for Matrimony

Family is the smallest unit of society. It is the home of our hearts. It is started with the love between husband and wife. It brings forth life. Family is a wonderful thing that brings with it sanctifying grace.

This blog is intended as a location for Heather and I to share our love story, the hard times and the good times, our life stories, and the stories of our children. It is a location to share our wisdom from our family to yours.

All families have humble beginnings. Our family is no different. Heather and I met in 2005 at Riverside Community College when we were attending a Catholic group's meeting. The love that I had for Heather led me to decide to not move to Colorado like I had intended. In 2009 we got married at Holy Cross Melkite Catholic Church in Placentia. Soon thereafter, our first son Adam was conceived and then was born in 2010 in Loma Linda. With continued blessings, we conceived our second son Jacob who was born in 2011 in Riverside.

Our family is just beginning. Will you share with us our journey?
